Jewish Tours

The best days to do the tour are on Tuesdays and thursdays.

The starting point of our Jewish tour will be
at the former site of the Israeli embassy.
In 1992 there was a car bomb attack on Buenos Aires's Israeli Embassy, 29 people died in the explosion and the entire building was turned into rubble. The building site was converted into a tree-lined memorial plaza, some of the constuction material was brought from Israel to honor this site.

Then within a walking distance we'll find Argentina’s oldest synagogue, Congregacion Israelita de la Republica Argentina, which is known as Libertad because it is located at Libertad st. The Libertad Temple was built in 1932 and houses a small Jewish museum with a small collection of photographs and Jewish ritual objects. Currently the museum is in reconstruction and only a few artifacts will be on display.
Our final stop will be at the Holocaust Museum containig one of the oldest Torahs in South America as well as pictures remembering the holocaust's victims.
