It is a transport and leisure complex that stretches for 15 kilometres
by the River Plate, from Olivos to the Tigre delta, stopping at eleven
stations, each one with its own history and special theme.
The original British carriages have been totally refurbished, to
provide the highest comfort to the traveller. There are all kinds of
shops, food establishments and fruit and regional product markets at
each stop, which manage to share the space without altering the
original architecture of a bygone Buenos Aires. Each carriage is air-conditioned
and has a tourist guide and a maximum capacity of 80 passengers.
San Isidro is a partido of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina found in
the north of Greater Buenos Aires. Its capital is San Isidro. It is 20
km from the city of Buenos Aires.
The founder of San Isidro city was Domingo de Acassuso, who built a
cathedral dedicated to San Isidro Labrador, having seen him in a dream.
The area of the partido is 51,44 km². In 2001 there were 293,000
inhabitants, representing 0.8% of the population of Argentina.
